Guess Who?

Matthew, Jeff and I went to the Swiss fair in Midway this Sat, and found these to play with... Can you see me smiling?

Matthew's Family Visit

Just about a week ago, Matthew's family came from California to drop his youngest brother off to attend UVU here. Jeff is living at Ryan and Kelly's house. It was really great to get together and see everyone. We had fun looking at the horses, but I just wish I had some carrots to give them.

Thank you Mickey!

Thank you Mickey for giving Matthew the cool LB hat. He wore it to the Owls (Orem, Utah) game. The game was my first baseball game here in Utah, and I really enjoyed the experience. We even saw a bunch of our neighbors at the game... thanks Bobbie and Mike for letting us sit with you. It was a beautiful night and what a view of the mountains. Oh, the Owls kick some backside.

Thank you Andrew

Andrew, Matthew's brother, created his version of pistols at dawn painting. Matthew really enjoyed the painting at first sight, and thought it was really cool that there is even a Boston Terrier in the painting. When Andrew finished the painting, he sent it with his parents to give to Matthew. It will be a great addition to the art collection.

Fist Day Back with the OJHS Kids

Here I am... Do I look the part of an art teacher? Will at least I can ward off the evil eye!
School has been great, and I have a wonderful group of creative students this year.

Spanish Fork Fair

Hello All,

Here are some photos of the Spanish Fork Fair. Matthew and I went with Ryan, Kelly and the girls, plus Matthew's Uncle Ray. It was a fun day, filled with the county fair flavor. You know, kids, animals, people selling stuff at booths that no one needs, and the baked goods, plus some local artwork. The tractor pull was interesting... boy, we are a long ways from our Long Beach days...

Final Goodbye So Cal

Well, the trip to California was filled with the friends and family that I love and I had a real good time seeing everyone. For everyone I missed, I am sorry and I love you too. I am currently in the San Diego airport with a two hour delay, which is a perfect time to update our blog. I wish Matthew could have gone with me, but he had fun at home with his 10 page paper for his summer school crit. lit. english class. Boy, I am happy not to be in his shoes. Thanks again for all of you that put me up and I will miss you all. Love, c.

LA section

Well, it was great seeing all of my friends in LA/ Burbank area. One thing I do miss from moving to Utah is the fun food and places to meet. So, I had a great time going around town and seeing people. Allwyn, Kat and John, thanks for letting me stay with you. John, thanks for the info on the computer... Kat, good luck with the website, ( everyone check it out- Great jewelry pieces on ETSY.com, seller named chainlink) Carmel that book artwork is looking great, Allwyn, I will miss you, and good luck on the book. Well, that was a run on sentence...

CSULB visit

I know I am a freak... but I just love the color of the bathroom tile... The bathroom is just behind where Carlos and I are standing. I had a great time visiting the art department with the youth art camp and meeting with Carlos. I miss the good old CSULB days... sometimes. Carlos even created a blog while I was there.

Bellflower Visit

I got the chance to meet up with some of my fave Bellflower friends... It was great seeing fellow art teachers and my star photo student! Sorry for anyone I missed at Bellflower, I will try to come in the school year to see you all.

We all know that traveling around Southern California means traffic, even on the coast line. At least there was something interesting to look at, not just the bumper in front of me.
